The WDSRA Golf Outing is your chance to enjoy 18 holes of fun while helping champion inclusive opportunities for individuals with special needs. \nFunds raised go directly to support the quality community-based programming on which our families & participants rely and may be used to support programming needs\, purchase sensory materials\, scholarships\, and more. \n\nCongratulations to the 2025 Charlie Long Award recipients – Tom and Liz Fitzgerald!\nTom and Liz began their journey with a heartfelt mission: to honor their son Kerry\, who passed away in December 2021. What started with their personal donation quickly grew into a powerful movement. They inspired family\, friends\, Liz’s 100 Women Who Care group\, and even a middle school fundraiser to contribute—ultimately leading to the creation of the WDSRA Scholarship Endowment. \nThanks to their vision and determination\, the endowment with a fund balance goal of $750\,000 was established. They request volunteers from WDSRA to support Ribfest. The more volunteers we send\, the more they donate to WDSRA! You choose the day\, shift and where to volunteer. After your shift is over\, stay an enjoy the food\, music and fun of Ribfest! \nSome companies frequently support their employee’s volunteer efforts by offering them comp time for hours volunteered. Ask your Human Resources Manager. Please let us know if you volunteer so WDSRA can be credited. Last year’s projects included: vehicle washing\, washing inside/outside windows of the facility and landscaping. Indoors will have many projects\, which include assembly of different kits needed for WDSRA programs\, golf invitations\, Spring Fling preparation and thank you note creation. At Community Park\, we will be assisting with the park clean-up.
