THE 2021 BASH – ONLINE & IN HOMES

2021 UPDATE

Instead of a one-night, large scale event this year, we are kicking off a 5-week appeal and 1-hour virtual celebration!

Beginning 2/1/2021, the 5-week appeal is to raise the funds needed to erase the $100,000-$140,000 revenue shortfall left because we cannot hold an in person event. (Read more about the revenue shortfall below).

Then, on Saturday, March 6th, we will be celebrating your help in erasing the revenue shortfall with a 1-hour virtual celebration.

There will also be a limited silent auction opening 2/26/2021 and viewing packages, complete with wine and a charcuterie board, for the virtual 1-hour celebration planned for March 6th.

MORE ON THE REVENUE SHORTFALL

Due to COVID19, The 2021 Bash will not be able to take place in person as usual this year. Because of that, we will be experiencing a revenue shortfall. As WDSRA’s largest fundraiser of the year, $100,000-140,000 is raised on that one night alone. Those funds are essential to meeting the programming needs for this fiscal year. Now, we are expecting a $100,000 to $140,000 revenue shortfall.

Families are depending on social and recreational programs to play a vital role in the overall health and wellbeing of their loved one. Without programs, their loved one may face amplified levels of sadness, loneliness and depression. Additionally, parents are relying on the dependable respite that even a few hours a week can give them to recharge. A family can be impacted on so many levels… especially during the isolation periods we are all experiencing during this pandemic.

Thank you for opening your heart to our participants and families during these very challenging times!
